Morning Prayer

Hello God!

I just wanted to say "Good morning to you,"

as I get down on my knees and pray.

I watch the sun at its rising,

I want to thank you for this beautiful new day.

And as I head out into this crazy world,

please bless my family and me.

I spend this moment with you at dawn,

to present our hopes and our needs.

Hello Lord!

I just wanted to come to you and praise you,

for all the loving things you have done.

I feel the warmth of your presence,

I stand in awe of your beauty, power, and love.

And as I go forth in this new day,

please fill me with your love to share,

with all of your people, I may meet.

Yes dear Lord, this is my morning prayer.
